Healthy Fruit Smoothie Recipes – Perfect for Anytime!

You are trying to eat as healthy diet as you can and need a quick nutritious breakfast, post-workout meal or wholesome snack. So the perfect answer is one of these healthy fruit smoothies. They only take minutes to prepare and can provide you with that much needed nutrition fast.

On the weekday mornings we normally get up pretty early. But still tend to try and achieve as many different things as we can even before leaving the house to go to work.  So if my stomach starts screaming at me and I haven’t left enough time to start cooking I just get out my blender. I’ll throw in some ingredients to make a quick, easy and healthy smoothie.

The beauty of smoothies is you can choose whatever ingredients you fancy and therefore have a different flavoured nutritious drink every day.

Healthy Fruit Smoothies Recipes

Here are just some of my favourite nutritious smoothie recipes that you also might like to try. As you can see I’m a lover of normal milk, so use that most of the time. But you can also use almond milk or coconut milk.

Watermelon Smoothie

– 2 cups of watermelon
– 1 cup of rolled oats
– 1 scoop of vanilla Whey protein powder
– 1 ½ cups of milk of choice

Chocolate, Blueberry & Peanut Butter Smoothie

– 1 cup of rolled oats
– 1 cup of frozen blueberries
– 1 scoop of chocolate Whey protein powder
– 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
– 1 ½ cups of milk of choice

Banana, Peanut Butter & Chia Smoothie

– 3 small bananas
– 2 tablespoons of Chia Seeds
– 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
– 1 ½ cups of milk of choice

Blueberry & Vanilla Smoothie

– 1 cup of blueberries
– 1 cup of rolled oats
– 1 scoop of vanilla Whey Protein powder
– 1 ½ cups of milk of choice

Pineapple Lassi

– 1 ½ cups of chopped fresh pineapple
– ½ cup of rolled oats
– 1 small pot of natural plain yogurt
– ½ cup of milk of choice

As you can see here are just some of the many different variations of healthy fruit smoothies that you can make. There are so many other yummy options, just use your imagination.

I grab whatever fruit I have in and also always try to add rolled oats to my post-workout breakfast smoothie whenever I can. Oats are a great source of complex carbohydrates and fibre that help to make a nice thick smoothie that’ll fill me up for hours. Often I’ll also mix it up a bit and add some pre-frozen veggies as well like broccoli or bok choi. These give it an extra nutritional punch.

So next time you don’t have time to cook a decent breakfast why not just throw together a healthy nutritious shake. The choice of ingredients is yours… And if you add a scoop of Whey Protein powder they are a great way to get some well needed but quick nutrition after your workout, or any other time of the day just as a substantial protein rich snack
